The mission of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation
is to promote initiatives that enhance and enrich education and economic
opportunities in the Chamber service area. The Foundation is a business
community based 501(c)(3) foundation affiliated with the Chamber of
Commerce of Eastern Connecticut.
The purpose of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Foundation is to provide grants to 501(c)(3) organizations recognized by the Internal Revenue Service that are devoted exclusively to charitable, educational and economic purposes and which under the Federal and State succession, transfer, and inheritance estate tax laws are exempt from taxation. It is the intent of the donors to provide such organizations with resources to assist in pilot programs, expansion of programs, research, etc. rather than the day-to-day operations of that organization.
