Lynn Malerba Lynn Malerba - Mohegan Tribe

Chief Lynn Malerba “Mutáwi Mutáhash” (Many Hearts) of the Mohegan Tribe assumed her present position in August 2010.  It is a lifetime appointment.  Prior to that, she served as chairwoman of the Tribe.

Chief Malerba has brought decades of managerial experience to the various tribal government positions she has held. As Director and later Executive Director of the Tribe’s Health and Human Services department from 1997 until 2005, she was responsible for the development of the department and the programs that directly benefit the membership.

Prior to her employment with the Tribe, Malerba held director and manager positions with Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, Connecticut, and currently serves on its Board of Directors.

She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy. Malerba is following in the footsteps of her mother Loretta Roberge, a Tribal “Nonner” (experienced woman of respect and admiration) and former member of the Tribal Council who was involved in the Tribe’s petition for federal recognition which was realized in 1994.

She resides in Uncasville with her husband Paul.  They have two daughters, Elizabeth and Angela.



Lynn Malerba Warren Scholl - CorePlus Federal Credit Union

Warren is the President/ CEO at CorePlus Federal Credit Union.  Under Warren’s leadership CorePlus has grown from $63 million to nearly $200 million in assets serving over 21,000 members.   CorePlus today has seven branches, plus an administrative center.  This year Warren will celebrate his 10th anniversary with CorePlus, and has been in the credit union field for over thirty years.   Warren embraces the cooperative spirit of Credit Unions; this is demonstrated by the increased level of service to members, and introduction of products and services that meet member needs.  Warren is a Rotarian and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Ct Chamber of Commerce and the Northeast Chamber.  He is involved in many other organizations in the community.

CorePlus is active in the community and in 2008 received the Community Service Award from the Boy Scouts of America. Other community events that CorePlus is involved in are, Shred Days which are available to both members and non members of the credit union in the community, William W. Backus Hospital the “Circle of Care” raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness, to name just a few.


Warren lives in Danielson with his wife Nancy and has two adult children Karen and Douglas.
