Are you helping your community this holiday season?

It doesn’t take a lot of effort to lend a helping hand this season. It’s as simple as patronizing a store in your neighborhood. This year, Buying Locally is more important than ever, as our region emerges from a recession. When you Buy Local, you create (and preserve) local jobs, and your money goes back into the local community. Plus, local businesses employ local people…who shop locally. And staying close to home saves you time and gas, and you’re supporting critical local services.

If you’re a business, make your store more inviting for consumers. If you have helpful staff, a product to be proud of, and great customer service, you’ll attract more customers. Even better, they’ll be repeat customers.

Do you have a story about how buying locally has benefited you, your family or your business? Share it! Let everyone know what businesses they can patronize to get the services they deserve. And thanks for Buying Local this holiday season!
