A big salute to Grossman’s Seafood in Groton
They served in the neighborhood of 400 lobster dinners recently to active duty and retired military personnel during the third annual “Operation Lobster Dinner.”
Grossman’s does it each year to thank those who have served and are serving their country. Not only that, proceeds raised from donations were earmarked for the Work Vessels for Veterans, a Noank-based non-profit that helps veterans transition to civilian life.
We, at the Chamber, want to thank Sean Coleman, Grossman’s general manager, and his crew for a rather remarkable undertaking. They set out to thank the military personnel; we want to thank them and everyone who supports the annual effort
The third annual “Operation Lobster Dinner” put on by Grossman’s Seafood is a great example of a business getting involved with the community.
Share with us other examples, large or small.
