Is a bioscience cluster in New London future?

The state has been promoting a major bioscience initiative in Farmington, but the founder of a small bioscience firm in New London told a Chamber gathering this week that southeastern Connecticut has the talent to expand this sector of our economy.

Would you like to see the region promote this possibility?

Absolutely! It makes great good sense: with our premiere higher education facilities & faculty, plus the many superb Pfizer & NUSC scientists who have determined to remain in Eastern CT.

Yes, I think this would be a great initiative for the region.

New London Region is optimal for its location for Bio-Sciences center. In addition to well known institutions and research and development centers the accessibility to major centers like Harvard, MIT, Yale as well as New York. The region provides marine Sciences, Bio-sciences, etc. both under Public & Private sponsorships. Many scientists have made eastern Connecticut their home for prospecting the availability of opportunities in the field of Bio-Sciences.

Great idea! Proximity to educational institutions, talented workforce, available facilities, excellent transportation, robust communications - the list is extensive.
