Ledge Light Federal Credit Union announces two scholarship winners with $500



Ledge Light Federal Credit Union’s recognizes local high school graduating seniors who have been accepted in an accredited educational program with $500 each.

Matthew Baer of East Lyme, CT and Ishita Kala of Waterford, CT not only demonstrated academic achievement, but also excelled in their community achievement.

Baer, a graduate from East Lyme High School will be attending Paul Smith’s College in the fall. Kala, a graduate from Waterford High School will be attending Dartmouth College in the fall and plans to major in psychology. “All of our applicants were outstanding!” said Bruce Fafard, President/CEO of Ledge Light Federal Credit Union.

“All of the students are worthy of recognition. The scholarship committee worked hard to identify those students who uniquely differentiated themselves from their peers through their academic achievements and within their respective communities. It was not an easy task.”
