Last year nearly 500 tickets were sold in support of The Arc's mission to encourage Respect for the concerns of people with disabilities in Connecticut, and The Arc received a $3,000 check at mid-court by the Connecticut Sun. "We continue to value this partnership," said The Arc New London County's Chief Executive Officer, Kathleen Stauffer. "Bringing the concerns of people with intellectual and related disabilities into the public arena really does benefit everybody. The Sun's players, sponsors and staff believe that every person deserves full inclusion in our community, and in the strength of their commitment to that belief the team sets a powerful example for everyone to follow." The Arc Night with The Connecticut Sun begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $19 each. Six dollars from each ticket goes directly to support activities at The Arc's Camp Harkness program, which provides summer camping experiences for people throughout Connecticut who have intellectual disabilities.
