Mohegan Sun and the Mohegan Tribe Donate Arena Suite, Raises $22,000 for Hospice Southeastern Connecticut

Hospice Southeastern Connecticut raised $22,000 for the Patient Care Endowment Fund by selling 100 tickets to the Bon Jovi concert on Friday, March 27. The Mohegan Sun and the Mohegan Tribe donated the use of a Mohegan Sun Luxury Suite for the sold-out concert. “We are thrilled with the success of Hospice Southeastern Connecticut’s fundraising efforts,” said Mitchell Etess, CEO of the Mohegan Sun. “The Mohegan Tribe and the Mohegan Sun support the good work the organization does for the community.”

Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, Hospice Southeastern Connecticut is raising money for their Patient Care Endowment Fund. All donations for 25th Anniversary events will go to this endowment. “The Endowment provides for patient services and patient needs not reimbursed by insurance,” explains Carol Mahier, Executive Director of Hospice Southeastern Connecticut. “This can be care for patients with no insurance or those that are underinsured or for emergency payment of care-related household bills such as food, electricity or heating oil, until Hospice Southeastern Connecticut social workers find other community resources.”

“Bon Jovi performed the perfect mix of classic rock anthems combined with their terrific recent material,” said Courtney Moore, who attended the concert with her husband, Toby Halsey. “They truly did 'Make A Memory' for those of us in attendance in the skybox generously offered by Mohegan Sun to Hospice Southeastern Connecticut.”
