ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

Nora Blackall Sings at Steak Loft

Sometimes a performer can play small clubs one day and Madison Square Garden the next. Artists I saw in tiny clubs before their records hit the streets include Jewel, The Strokes and Jeff Buckley. But overnight sensations really don't happen overnight. Artists who are going places play everywhere they can, honing their skills.

From time to time we will feature an Artist Spotlight, to let you know who we think is going places! This week we're featuring Nora Blackall, a young singer and songwriter from Stonington.

Nora played a fabulous show at the theater last month, and she is a regular at our Take the Stage! Open-mic Music Forum. Check her out at Steak Loft next week and at our next Take the Stage on Feburary 26th!
