What You'll Need to Obtain Financing

On Thursday, February 10, CDA and CBIA hosted an informational webinar to provide the Connecticut business community with information on financing. P. Joseph Harpie, CDA’s Chief Lending officer, presented some of the basic requirements that lenders will be expecting when reviewing business financing applications. Brien Day, V.P. Lending Group, and Janet Siegenthaler, V.P. Lending Group, also presented detailed case studies of specific transactions.

What are my chances of obtaining financing if, for the first time in 25 years, my business has lost money due to the recession?

The chances are actually quite good, and we are seeing a lot of this type of deal lately. If the company has been historically profitable, and if the economic downturn is the main cause of need, we will certainly take a look at it.
