Charter Oak Community Scholarship Applications now Available

$12,000 in Scholarships Will Be Awarded this Spring


Groton, CT-January 10, 2012- Applications for Charter Oak Federal Credit Union’s Community Scholarship Program are now available to interested student members planning on attending accredited institutions of higher education in Fall 2012. Awarded to well-rounded students hailing from New London and Windham counties, applicants should excel academically, have a strong involvement in extracurricular activities and have a history of giving back to their community.

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union is committed to helping youth in the area achieve lifelong success by providing financial support towards their educational pursuits. Since 1994, the Credit Union has distributed $114,000 to deserving students and a total of $12,000 will be awarded in 2012.

Scholarship applications and guidelines can be found on the Credit Union’s website, www.charteroak.org or at any of the Credit Union’s 12 branch locations. Completed applications are due no later than March 15, 2012.
