CHARTER OAK FCU EXPANDS BOARD, NAMES TWO NEW DIRECTORS Bradford Heil of Pawcatuck and Paul F. McGlinchey of Oakdale Join Credit Union Board
Groton, CT-August 20, 2010 –On August 19th, Charter Oak Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors expanded its board by announcing the appointment of long-time Charter Oak members Bradford Heil of Pawcatuck and Paul F. McGlinchey of Oakdale to the Credit Union board. Expanding the board to seven individuals will better serve the Credit Union’s growing number of members and branches.
Mr. Heil, an employee of Electric Boat, first became a Charter Oak member in 1977. Over the years, Heil has served the Credit Union in various volunteer positions, including as Chairman of its Supervisory Committee from 1995 to 1999. Since 2004, Heil has served as the Credit Union’s SCCT Management Committee Chairman.
Mr. McGlinchey, an Account Executive with Computer Sciences Corporation, first became a member of the Credit Union in 1983. Appointed to Charter Oak’s Supervisory Committee in 1995, McGlinchey has been chair since 2000. Also active in the community, McGlinchey is a member of the Thames River Big Band and is the Immediate Past President of the Eastern CT Symphony Orchestra’s Board of Directors.
