Chelsea Groton Bank Employees Raise $3,080 for Charities

 

Chelsea Groton Bank team members recently held four Jeans Days to raise money for Easter Seals, The Tomorrow Fund, Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut, and the American Cancer Society.  In total, Chelsea Groton Bank employees donated $3,080 amongst these organizations throughout April and May.

To raise the funds, Chelsea Groton Bank employees pay $5 to wear jeans, or $10 to wear jeans and sneakers on selected Fridays.

$500 was collected for Easter Seals.  Team members donated $1,030 to the Tomorrow Fund for Leukemia.  $690 was raised for Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut.  Most recently, team members participated in the American Cancer Society's Birthday Celebration and donated $860.

These contributions are separate from the hundreds of thousands of dollars Chelsea Groton Bank and the Chelsea Groton Foundation donate to numerous local charities each year.  Additionally, Chelsea Groton Bank team members donate thousands of hours of their time each year to various charitable organizations, along with the monetary gifts.
