Children’s Museum of SECT Offers Childcare Provider Pass
NIANTIC, CT – The Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut, 409 Main St., in collaboration with Children First New London (CFNL) now offers an annual pass specially designed for home childcare providers. The pass allows the home childcare provider, a chaperone, and accompanying children regular admittance to CMSECT for one year. “A child’s brain develops to 90 percent of its capacity in the first five years. What a child does during a day influences lifelong learning," said Tina Salcedo, CFNL cochair. To accompany the pass, the Children’s Museum provides a list from CFNL of simple and inexpensive yet engaging activities for home providers to do with children. Home childcare providers that meet eligibility requirements may apply for assistance through the All Children: All Families fund by calling the museum at (860) 691-1111. The price of the pass varies according to the number of children serviced by the home provided. |
