Calling All Kids to Design A Tree FortThe Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut (CMSECT), 409 Main St., invites school-age children to participate in the Kids’ Tree Fort Committee, to help design a tree fort for children. The committee will consist of 6-10 children that are chosen by lottery from those that have submitted their names. The Tree Fort Committee will meet a few times after school but the dates and times are determined based on the participants’ schedules. The tree fort will be built by professionals and unveiled on March 27 during the grand opening of the redesigned outdoor play space at the museum. The deadline for submission is Feb. 11. Contact Melissa Gula at (860) 691-1111 or email her at m.gula@childrensmuseumsect.org to submit a name.
