The Norwich Arts Center presents d’Allegro on Friday, May 6 at the Donald L. Oat Theater at 8:00pm.  Part of NAC’s First Friday Live Sounds series of music performances, this musical duo captivates audiences with exciting renditions of R&B and jazz favorites.


Consisting of vocalist Laura DelGado-Clemons and versatile keyboard player Bob Shea, d’Allegro promises to deliver a special evening of music for NAC’s finale of the 2010-2011 First Friday Live Sounds season.  DelGado-Clemons, who resides in Boston, performed at the Donald L. Oat last April 2010 with her jazz ensemble, a “small band with a big sound.”  Along with fellow band member Shea, also of the Boston area,  DelGado-Clemons sizzles the stage with her sultry voice, taking audiences on a musical journey of some of their favorite hits.


DelGado-Clemons and Shea met four years ago.  They soon realized that they shared the same passion for music.  Together they bring many experiences from working with bands ranging from Jazz, R&B, Classic Rock and Country.  They have been influenced by many musicians they have collaborated with over the years.


First Friday Live Sounds runs from October through May and features a different artist every month.  Events are BYOB but you can also enjoy refreshments from the Norwich Arts Center’s concession stand.  Tables seat up to eight people, and ticket prices for this event are $20 per person.  To purchase tickets, call the Norwich Arts Center / Donald L.
