New SE CT Women’s NETWORK President and Awards of Recognition

July 26, 2011, Mystic, CT – Denise M. Nott was recently selected as the new President of the SE CT Women’s NETWORK. Denise has been an active NETWORK member for five years, and strongly believes in the purpose of the organization, to “provide members with the opportunity to meet other professional and business people, to communicate and exchange general and career information, to promote personal visibility and a sense of community, and to develop a constituency for the purpose of examining and speaking out on issues of concern to the membership.” Denise leads the NETWORK and the Board for 2011-2012. Denise has been a member of the construction industry, both service and retail, for many years. Currently, she is the owner of Nutmeg Building and Remodeling. Her leadership skills have also let to her two-year tenure as 2009-2010 President of the Builder Association of Eastern CT.
 
There also were Annual Recognition Awards presented at the end of the 2010-2011 NETWORK year: Woman of the Year Award 2011 to Gail Weber of Minuteman Press; Miss Congeniality Award to Deb Spencer from Brio Academy of Cosmetology; and The Heron Award to Marilyn Dayton of Marketing Biz Professionals. These annual awards represent recognition to those members who have proven their commitment to the NETWORK organization and have each served as a role model in the business community.
