In addition to the colorful pyrotechnic display at Mohegan Sun, the cruise featured music by jazz guitarist David Zuckerman, and a showcase of desserts by chamber members.

“Everyone came out a winner,” said Tony Sheridan, the chamber’s president and CEO. “We not only had some of the finest and most creative desserts for tasting, but we provided those who sailed up the Thames River with us a fun night.”

Sheridan said the annual cruise is one way the chamber mixes business with pleasure, providing an entertaining event and an opportunity for business people to network in a casual atmosphere.

“We called the cruise “How Sweet it is,” and the evening lived up to the billing,” he said. “We thank all who made the night a success, starting with the Wronowski family, owners of the ferry service.
