Dime Bank Announces Two New Corporators
Norwich, CT – Dime Bank elected two new corporators, Lee-Ann Gomes, of Norwich, and Catherine M. Foley, of New London, at its recent annual meeting.
Gomes, is a University of Connecticut graduate with a BA in psychology and has done Masters level work at the school of social work. She is the supervisor of social work for Norwich Human Services and co-founder of the Norwich Community Care Team, a multi-disciplinary team assembled to address the needs of homeless single adults.
Gomes serves on the Board of Trustees for the Norwich Free Academy, the Norwich Free Academy Foundation and is treasurer of CT Coalition to End Homelessness. She also is a former member the Norwich Board of Education. She lives in Norwich with her husband, Curtis Simmons, and their daughters, Kendall and Bryce.
Foley, a graduate of the College of New Jersey, is the executive director of the Covenant Shelter of New London, a 35 bed shelter serving homeless men, women, and children from the region and president/owner of Meeting Works, LLC, a meeting management firm in New London. She is a member of New London’s Ethics Commission and served on the 2008 Charter Revision Commission.
A long time New London Rotarian, Foley served as club president and currently is a director and secretary of the Rotary Foundation Board. The Rotary Club of New London honored Foley for “Service Above Self” with a Paul Harris Fellowship and the Carl Weiss Award. She lives in New London with her daughters Corinne and Kate.
