CHARTER OAK'S COMMUNITY GIVING PROGRAM ANNOUNCES LATEST ROUND OF FUNDING RECIPIENTS

Credit Union's Charitable Program Announces $6,500 in Grant and Partnership Awards

Groton, CT-June 18, 2010-Charter Oak Federal Credit Union's Community Giving Program, which distributes over $100,000 annually in scholarships, grants and partnerships, has announced its latest round of funding recipients.

Recipients included: SoundMusic based in New London, which received $500 towards its summer concert series at Mystic Aquarium featuring jazz and classical music, Homeless to Hopeful (an annual benefit dance in support of the Covenant Shelter and New London Homeless Hospitality Center) which received $3,500, as well as New London's Office of Youth Affairs which received $2,500 in support of youth programming and activities.

For organizations seeking funding, applications can be found on the Credit Union's website, www.charteroak.org. For organizations requesting over $5,000 in funding, the next submission deadline for applications is July 1, 2010.
