MYSTIC MARRIOTT HOTEL & SPA TO SERVE AS H.O.G. CENTRAL FOR 2010 STATE H.O.G. RALLY

Groton, CT (June 18, 2010) --- The Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa in Groton has been chosen as Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) Central by the Connecticut State Rally Committee for their 3rd Annual Northeast State Rally Tour 2010.   More than 750 bikers from New England and beyond are expected to visit our region. 

The H.O.G. rally begins in Rhode Island and New Hampshire on Wednesday, June 23, with participants making their way to the Mystic Marriott on June 24 where the hotel will serve as the tour's H.O.G. central through Saturday, June 26.  Weekend long festivities at the hotel will include opening ceremonies, a motor clothes fashion show, live outdoor music, a pig roast dinner, and a pirates ball, among other exciting activities.

Guided and self-guided tours of the state will be available throughout the 3-day rally, including stops at local ice cream farms, CT Harley Davidson dealers, and Gillette's Castle, as well as rides through Stonington, Sterling, Mystic and Westbrook.  Festivities will include live music and the Antique Motorcycle Club at the site of Taste of New London at the Pier from Noon-4pm on Saturday June 26 and a ride in bike show, open to the public, at Olde Mistick Village on Friday 6/25, beginning at 11am.  For event information, contact: Ken Scarpa, at 860-460-4727.
