Newlin Awarded ECAR Community Service Award

Cathy Newlin of RE/MAX Home Team in Waterford was recently awarded the Eastern Connecticut Association of REALTORS® Community Service Award. An active volunteer for Camp Wightman for 34 years, she has also participated in numerous Waterford activities and organizations, including the Rotary Club and the Memorial Day Parade Committee. Cathy has volunteered for numerous organizations, such as the American Red Cross, the Children’s Miracle Network, Sunshine Kids Habitat for Humanity, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, and other. Her favorite charity, Camp Wightman, was awarded a $500 grant by the ECAR Charitable & Education Fund.

The runner up for the award was Jack Kelly of Randall, REALTORS®. Jack is the founder of the Furniture Bank, an organization that assists needy families by accepting furniture donations and then providing the furniture to the families. The Furniture Bank was awarded a $250 grant by the ECAR Charitable & Education Fund.
