Grossman's Seafood is Proud to Announce the 3rd Annual Operation Lobster Dinner to Benefit Work Vessels for Veterans

Groton, CT – Grossman’s Seafood is in the planning stages of their third annual Operation Lobster Dinner. The event looks to feed 400 free lobster dinners to military personnel, both active and retired, on Sunday, July 17, 2011. Money raised for the event will benefit Work Vessels for Veterans, an all-volunteer 501 (c)(3) public charity whose mission is to assist returning veterans’ transition into their civilian careers. The dinner will take place at the submarine base in Groton. In addition to the meal, there will be entertainment for kids, live music and the presentation of a free vehicle to a deserving veteran returning to civilian life.

“This is another opportunity for us to give back to our military personnel and their families who sacrifice so much for us,” John Niekrash, founder of WVFV, stated. “We’re really grateful to Grossman’s Seafood for once again putting on this fantastic event.”

Several companies have come forward pledging their support for Operation Lobster Dinner, however anyone willing to donate financially to support the event is encouraged to contact Sean Coleman at  (860) 448-9273.
