Paul Pescatello Returns to CorePlus Federal Credit Union


Paul Pescatello has rejoined the team at CorePlus Federal Credit Union (www.coreplus.org) as Branch Development and Special Projects Coordinator.

Pescatello is a New London native, and attended Mohegan Community College pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He started in the financial industry in 1996 as a commercial teller for Fleet Bank in New London. Pescatello previously worked at CorePlus Federal Credit Union for 9 years as Branch Supervisor in their Groton, Waterford, New London and Norwich offices.  During his initial tenure with CorePlus, he was responsible for new branch openings, loan underwriting and approval, increasing membership growth and deposits. He was awarded seven Presidential Dollar Awards for member recognition of exceptional service.

Pescatello then served as Manager of Service Center Administration for 3 years with Ledge Light Federal Credit Union in Groton. At Ledge Light he was instrumental in generating asset growth, expanding their lending department, employee training and member satisfaction and retention.

Currently in his role as Branch Development and Special Projects Coordinator he is responsible for new member growth, direct and indirect lending, creating local vendor partnerships to better serve the Credit Union’s members, new location research, and new branch openings.

Pescatello and his wife Andrea reside in Quaker Hill with their son Liam and a family dog.  An avid sports fan, Paul supports many teams, most notably the Philadelphia 76ers, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Flyers hockey and the New York Yankees baseball team.  He coaches Waterford North Little League Baseball, and also participates in the town’s football program.
