Don't Miss The Arc New London County's 4th Annual Pirate Party
Mystic, CT - The Arc New London County hosts Southeastern Connecticut's 4th Annual Pirate Party on Saturday, April 30, 2011, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Mystic Arts Center, 9 Water Street. Proceeds support The Arc's Respite, Community Leisure and Camp Harkness programs. "These programs are the most vulnerable to funding cuts," says Kathleen Stauffer, Chief Executive Officer. "Your presence at the Pirate Party can make a significant difference in a family's life. Please join us for a night of fun, fine food and a quality silent auction along with special guest honorees Senator Andrea Stillman, 20th District, Howard Stillman of J. Solomon Inc., Representative Elissa Wright, 41st District, Nancy Gray, President of The Norwich Chamber of Commerce, and Jim Reed, Vice President for Programming of Hall Communications. Blaze, mascot of The Connecticut Sun, will make a special guest appearance. "A week at Camp," adds event Co-Chair Karen DiSaia, a local businesswoman and parent of a young man with disabilities, "or a weekend of Respite with a trained provider, or an opportunity to enjoy local communities with peers, improves quality of life for the whole family. Because these programs receive little if any state support, our Board of Directors decided to do something to ensure that these programs will continue to remain affordable to families." Don't miss a catered evening with: Live music from Boat Cake, Shanty Songs, silent auction with Round -Trip Tickets anywhere Southwest flies, Disney Park Hopper Passes, Lake of Isles golf, Keith Urban concert tickets and more! Tickets: $50 in advance and $60 at the door. "Captain" sponsors include: Chelsea Groton Bank and The Connecticut Sun. Dawn Epstein DeCristofaro, Assistant Treasurer and Commercial Loan Officer for Chelsea Groton Bank co-chairs the event. For tickets call 860-889-4435 ext. 116 or visit www.thearcnlc.org
