Summer Science Programs for the Very Young at the

Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut

NIANTIC, CT – The Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut, 409 Main St., is offering inquiry-based science classes specifically designed for children aged 4-6 years old during the summer.

The 45-minute sessions meet Tuesdays at 1:30 pm. Topics include a secret material for an invention or craft on June 8, knots and ties on June 15, the digestive system on June 22, bees on July 6, unusual fruits on July 13, moon missions on July 20, and predicting weather with clouds on July 27.

Classes use inquiry-based teaching techniques that help children develop critical thinking, language, literacy, and social skills. The process includes exploration, questioning, discovery, testing, and understanding.
