            The Norwich Arts Council and Worship Skateboards present Shred Sled Symposium on exhibit at the NAC Gallery from Wednesday, September 1, 2010 to Saturday, September 25, 2010.  An Opening Reception for the exhibit will be held Friday, September 10, 2010 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.  The exhibit will feature skateboard art by graphic designers from Worship Skateboards.

            Using the skateboard as canvass, the personal vision and artistic aesthetic of each designer from Worship Skateboards is evident in their edgy graphics, with imagery ranging from political commentary to pop culture.  An added special event will be the premier of the first full length Worship Video upstairs in the Donald L. Oat Theater at 8:00pm.  Note: Unlike other exhibits at the NAC Gallery, the Opening Reception for this show does not fall on a First Friday.

First Friday Opening Receptions in the NAC Gallery are free to the public with refreshments available.  Receptions are a great opportunity to meet the artists.  And don’t forget to visit NAC Gallery Too! next door, featuring various local artists year round in a gift-shop style environment.  Gallery hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 12noon to 4pm for both galleries.  For more info call the NAC Gallery at 860-887-2789 or visit their website at www.norwicharts.org.
