Shipman & Goodwin Attorney Sonia Pedraza Receives Pro Bono Award



The Hartford County Bar Association honored Shipman & Goodwin attorney Sonia Pedraza with its annual pro bono award at its Law Day ceremony held today at Hartford Superior Court.

Sonia received the award for her work over the past two years with the Pro Se Security Deposit Clinic, where her legal counseling, bilingual skills, patience and compassion are highly valued. The monthly clinic is sponsored jointly by Shipman & Goodwin and Statewide Legal Services to provide advice and assistance to indigent tenants whose landlords have wrongfully withheld security deposits.
