Special Winter Admission at CMSECT

NIANTIC, CT – The Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut, 409 Main St., is offering discounted admissions this winter until Mar. 31. The regular $7 admission is discounted to $6 for each person visiting the museum over 1 year old.

The museum is accessible to children of all abilities. Kids become scientists in the Discovery Lab and fishmongers in the kid-size Seaside Village. They can construct their own boardwalk, crawl into a pyramid, and prepare a meal in Mexico when touring the Global Village. They experience the link between movement and sound in “Music for All Children,” climb aboard an authentic 2-person research submarine, and explore the redesigned, active, and educational outdoor play space, including a 3-tier tree house, zipline, climbing wall, and giant musical instruments.

“Winter is a good time to get the kids out of the house let their imaginations soar at the Children’s Museum,” said Christy Hammond, executive director at the Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut. “It might be winter outside, but in the museum, we have a sunny seaside village.”

The mission of the Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut is to encourage learning and spark imagination by engaging children and all families through creative and hands-on play in a safe and accessible community environment.
