Toy Swap at the Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut

NIANTIC, CT –In celebration of Earth Day, the Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut (CMSECT), 409 Main St., is holding its first Toy Swap at the museum on Friday, Apr. 22, from 2-3 pm.

Families are encouraged to gather clean, gently used and somehow forgotten toys – still in working condition – and give them new life by bringing them to the toy swap. Items may be dropped off at the museum on Thursday, Apr. 21, 11:30 am-3:30 pm, or brought to the museum on the day of the event.

The toys will be sorted into categories including games and puzzles; stuffed animals; cars, trucks, and things that go; books, and sports equipment. Swaps are made on a toy-for-toy basis. Additional guidelines are provided at time of registration. At the end of the event, all remaining toys will be donated to an area agency.

Participant registration is Apr. 11-21; the fee is $2 per family. For information about this or other programs, call the museum at (860) 691-1111 or visit www.childrensmuseumsect.org.
