Valet Parking Service for Patients

Beginning this week (June 21), Lawrence & Memorial Hospital is bringing its popular FREE Valet Parking service to patients, their families and visitors using Pequot Health Center in Groton.

"We're in the process of doing some renovation work that will improve Emergency Services to better serve our community," explained Crista Durand, Vice President of Strategic Planning & Marketing, "and the addition of this patient-friendly service is an important first step."

Valet Parking will be available from the Main Pequot Entrance only, located on the lower level of the campus, 52 Hazelnut Hill Road, Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 6:30 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. The service will not be available on Sundays or holidays.

Guests can look for the "Valet Parking" sign near the Front Pequot Canopy and the valet attendant who will be wearing a red shirt or jacket. Visitors who want to use the service will be asked to give their keys to the fully insured attendant. When leaving the hospital, visitors can go to the Main Pequot Entrance, present their ticket to the valet attendant and their car will arrive shortly at the entrance.

As part of the renovation project, three new 'fast care rooms' were opened recently for operation and are already providing patients with faster care. The goal of the five-month renovation project will be to provide the same level of emergency triage care at Pequot that is now available at the Main Hospital campus Emergency Department, including an aesthetic refresh of the Emergency Department space. Since a faster model of care was implemented at the Main Hospital campus, patient satisfaction has dramatically improved along with shorter patient waits and improved clinical care.
