Westerly Hospital Healthcare Opens
Physical Therapy and Sports Performance Center in North Stonington

 

NORTH STONINGTON, CONNECTICUT, December 1, 2010:  Westerly Hospital Healthcare will open a new Physical Therapy and Sports Performance Center as part of the new North Stonington Health Center.  An Open House will be held at the center on Saturday, December 11 from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and will feature tours of the facility, refreshments, free giveaways, and more.

 

The Physical Therapy and Sports Performance Center features a 3,000 square-foot gymnasium with   premiere exercise equipment, 1,200 square feet of indoor turf, pitching mounds, and batting cages with professional training and rental options.  The center provides physical therapy services with a concentration in orthopedics/sports medicine with an emphasis on rehabilitation of the injured athlete.   Personal trainers are available to design personalized programs for strengthening, functional movement analysis, weight loss programs, and sports specific training.

In addition to physical therapy and sports performance services, beginning in early 2011, the North Stonington Health Center will offer primary care and non-emergency urgent care, as well as radiology and laboratory services.  Unique to southeastern New England, the North Stonington Health Center is an integrated, multi-specialty health center that will be open to patients seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m.    The center will serve patients from both Connecticut and Rhode Island residents and will accept most major medical insurances.

North Stonington Health Center is conveniently located at 183 Providence-New London Road in North Stonington, CT (at the rotary—-the intersection of Route 2 and Route 184).
