CTWorks

The Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut collaborates with the Eastern Connecticut Work Force Investment Board to provide seamless core services to businesses and employees via the Business Services Team at CTWorks centers.

What is CTWorks?

CTWorks is designed to provide businesses and the public with quality information about jobs, labor market information, available training & education opportunities, and the links to other public and private services. These comprehensive centers unify numerous training, education and employment programs into a single, customer-friendly system.

Eastern Connecticut Benefit Center

The first of its kind in the state, the Eastern Connecticut Benefit Center, located at the Chamber Office, administered by Chamber Insurance Trust and coordinated through its carriers ConnectiCare, Aetna and HealthNet, will allow members to speak directly with chamber member insurance agents that will assist them with their insurance needs and questions. New Business & Small Business Development

The Chamber's partnership with SCORE (Counselors to America's Small Business), a national non-profit association and resource partner of the Small Business Association (SBA), provides free business consultation to businesses or those interested in starting a business in eastern Connecticut. Professional guidance from working and retired executives and business owners is available in the following areas: Accounting, Advertising/Promotion, Business Buying/Selling, Business Plans, Business Start-up, Consulting, Engineering, Franchising, Graphic Arts/Printing, Government Contracts, International Trade, Loans, Manufacturing, Marketing, Patents & Copyrights, Personnel, Photography, Public Relations, Purchasing, Real Estate, Research & Development, Retail, Sales and Taxes. www.score.org

SeCTer's Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP)

The Procurement Technical Assistance Program provides marketing and technical assistance to Connecticut businesses selling, or interested in selling, their products and/or services to federal, state and local government agencies. Services include customized client bid matching, individual counseling, seminars, bid/proposal preparation, assistance with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and specialized marketing assessments. www.ctptap.org
