Tell us about EZ-Occasions.

EZ-Occasions is a family-owned Event Design and Rentals business. We offer rentals and luxury event design services for weddings, corporate and social events in New England. My team specializes in ceiling draping, backdrops, wall liners, tent draping, table styling, stage draping and much more. Our rentals range from elegant tents to tables, chairs, china, glassware, linen and more.

Why did you start this business? If it was to fill a gap or address a challenge, tell us a little bit about it.

After four years of working for a multinational insurance company, I decided to follow my passion for event design and decided to start my own business. I knew that I needed to further my education in order to follow my passion; therefore, I obtained a master’s degree in business administration and a certification as an event designer. After completing my MBA in Barcelona, Spain, I returned to the United States in January, 2016 and in July of the same year, I launched EZ-Occasions. It has been a challenging journey but my perseverance, dedication, and optimism have helped me achieve what I call “ a dream come true.”

What aspect of managing EZ-Occasions are you passionate about? Can you provide us with any specific examples? 

I’m passionate about the planning process of every event. My MBA concentration was project management which provided me with the skills needed to excel in that area of the event.  From drafting a preliminary design to witnessing the final outcome of the event, every single step involved provided me with the satisfaction and assurance that the final step was going to be worth all the hard work.

Did you introduce any new services recently?  What are they? 

Yes, we recently expanded our services to include event design. The business initially started with just event rental services and in November, 2016, I became certified as an event designer with a specialization in fabric draping.

We currently offer ceiling draping, canopy draping, backdrops, tent liners, wall draping and table styling services.

How would your clients describe your business?

I believe my clients would describe my business as innovative, fun and professional.
