This year we changed the format of our annual meeting. Do you approve/disapprove?

The annual meeting was well attended last night at the Mystic Marriott with Governor Malloy as our keynote speaker. This year there was a sit down dinner instead of reception-like setting with heavy hors d’oeuvres, the addition of the keynote speaker and the awards were given toward the end of the program. Everyone left with a nice gift bag.

What did you think about our Annual meeting?

Loved the sitdown dinner versus heavy hor's doeuvres. However, I believe that dinner should have been served as soon as the meeting was called to order around 6:00 p.m. People around my table mentioned they were starving by the time the food started to come out. Also, while I fully enjoyed the entree, I felt the portions were kind of light. I had to buy myself a cheeseburger on my way home!!!

Excellent overall. As we discussed last night, a little more time for schmoozing before will likely keep more people in their seats for the duration of the event. We should have a new US Senator by then, so should perhaps look to having Chris Murphy down for 2013?

I approve of the approach to this year’s meeting. The Governor’s strongly stated commitment to Southeastern Connecticut left me feeling hopeful, and the pace of the evening allowed for plenty of networking. The food and the staff at The Marriott were excellent.
