Stonecroft Country Inn Names Executive Chef

Trevor Douglas Brings International Culinary Career to Mystic

 
Ledyard, CT- 6/2/11 - Owner Jason Crandall of Stonecroft Country Inn, located minutes from Mystic Seaport and both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos, has named Trevor Douglas as the new Executive Chef.
 
Douglas was trained in the United Kingdom at Birmingham College of Food and Domestic Arts in Birmingham, England. He has worked at the Four Seasons Hotel in London, Brennan's Restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he learned cooking in the Creole tradition, and the New England Culinary Institute in Essex, Vermont as Chef Instructor.
 
Chef Douglas comes to Stonecroft most recently from the Petit St. Vincent Resort in the West Indies where he was Executive Chef, preparing a daily changing menu from scratch using high quality ingredients. Prior to Petit St. Vincent, Douglas was the Executive Chef at Hotel Viking in Newport, Rhode Island. He brings an inspirational style of cooking, pulling from many regional and international cuisines to Stonecroft, which features a seasonally changing menu.

Stonecroft is located in Ledyard, Connecticut and is open Tuesday through Saturday for dinner, including a special Wednesday menu offering of a three-course dinner for two for $60.
